IPL Skin Correction

Clearer. Brighter. More even-looking skin.

What Can IPL Treat?

Sun damage, pigmentation and redness can build up over time and leave skin looking uneven. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a non-invasive treatment designed to target pigment and visible redness, for a clearer, brighter and more even complexion.

Pigmentation

For the appearance of sun damage, freckles and suitable superficial pigmentation.

Redness + Vascular

Targets suitable visible redness and superficial vascular concerns.

Skin Rejuvenation

Designed to improve overall tone and the appearance of sun-damaged skin.

*Treatment suitability is assessed during consultation.

Why Consultation Matters?

This is especially important with IPL because skin type, pigmentation type, medications, tanning and the nature of the lesion all affect suitability. Not every pigmentation or vascular concern should simply be treated with IPL.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to some of our most common questions.

  • Most people describe it as a quick warm snap, like a rubber band flicking against the skin. It’s over quickly, and we use cooling to keep you comfortable.

  • Treated pigment usually darkens over the first few days, then lifts or flakes away naturally within about 1 to 2 weeks. Some redness or mild swelling is common for a day or two, especially when treating redness and broken capillaries.

  • Most people need a course of sessions, spaced a few weeks apart [confirm Jaime’s protocol, e.g. 3 to 5 sessions, 3 to 4 weeks apart]. We’ll recommend what suits your skin in your treatment plan.

  • IPL is designed to target sun damage, sunspots, uneven skin tone, facial redness and broken capillaries, for a clearer and more even complexion. It can be used on the face, neck, chest and hands.

  • IPL works best on lighter to medium skin tones. It isn’t recommended on darker skin tones or recently tanned skin, and some types of pigmentation, such as melasma, may need a different approach. We’ll assess your skin at your consultation to make sure it’s the right fit.

  • Yes. IPL targets pigment and redness, so it pairs well with RF microneedling to improve texture and fine lines, for a more complete skin refresh. We’ll recommend the right combination in your treatment plan.
